S7020T

S7020T Reel Terminal Insertion Machine

S7020T reel terminal insertion machine: 0.55 s per terminal, 12,000 CPH dual head, 0.015 mm vision, clinch with miss detection, SMEMA inline. Same-day quote.

S7020T Reel Terminal Insertion Machine – Front with reel feeders

Feed terminals from the reel, insert them at 0.55 s each.

The S7020T cuts terminals from the reel and inserts them with two synchronised heads, then clinches and checks every pin from below. Built to run inline with SMT and the rest of your THT line.

12,000 CPH maximum. Inline options such as automatic track width and barcode verification are confirmed per project.

At a glance

  • 0.55 s — per terminal (0.6 s per switch)
  • 0.015 mm — vision calibration accuracy
  • 12,000 CPH — maximum throughput, dual head
  • 100% — positions checked by miss detection
  • 2 — synchronised insertion heads

Reeled terminals deserve better than hand insertion

AC tabs, quick-connect terminals and blade terminals are where manual THT hurts most.

  • Cutting and inserting by hand: Operators cut terminals from the strip and press them in one at a time.
  • Missed terminals reach the customer: A missing tab on a power board is a field failure, not just a defect.
  • Heavy terminals tilt: Without a firm clinch, terminals lean or lift in the wave.
  • Mixed reels on the bench: Similar terminals on different reels get mixed during changeover.
  • THT can’t keep up with SMT: Boards pile up between the reflow oven and manual insertion.
  • Power-tool and appliance audits: Customers require proof that every terminal was inserted and secured.

What the S7020T does differently — Feature, Advantage, Benefit

Six functions focused on reeled terminals and inline production.

Speed: 0.55 s per terminal, dual head

Synchronised feed and insertion.

  • Feature: Two heads feed and insert in parallel: 0.55 s per terminal, 0.6 s per switch, up to 12,000 CPH.
  • Advantage: One machine handles the terminal content of a fast SMT line.
  • Benefit: THT stops limiting line output.

Key points: 0.55 s/terminal · 0.6 s/switch · 12,000 CPH

Reel feed: Continuous reel feeding and shearing

Terminals cut from the strip.

  • Feature: Reel feeders unwind the terminal strip and shear each terminal right before insertion; bulk terminals are also supported.
  • Advantage: No pre-cutting, no loose terminals on the bench.
  • Benefit: Cleaner workstations and less material waste.

Key points: Reel feeder ×2 · Auto shearing · Bulk option

Vision: 0.015 mm vision calibration

Top CCD + bottom backlight.

  • Feature: Top HD CCD camera with bottom backlight base calibrates positions to 0.015 mm.
  • Advantage: Terminals land exactly on the holes even with board tolerance.
  • Benefit: No bent terminals and no damaged PCB holes.

Key points: 0.015 mm · Top CCD · Backlight base

Clinch & check: Clinch with miss detection

Every pin verified.

  • Feature: Inward, outward or N clinch under the board, with a miss-insertion sensor that stops and alarms on a missing terminal.
  • Advantage: Terminals are locked and every position is checked in the machine.
  • Benefit: Missing terminals never reach wave soldering or your customer.

Key points: Inward / outward / N · Miss detection · Auto alarm

Inline: SMEMA inline production

Runs with SMT and THT cells.

  • Feature: SMEMA board handshake, conveyor from 80 × 80 to 380 × 280 mm boards (custom 400 × 400 mm), thickness 0.76–2.36 mm.
  • Advantage: Works between your loader, S3010A radial, S4000 axial and wave soldering.
  • Benefit: A continuous THT line with no manual board handling.

Key points: SMEMA · 80–380 mm · 0.76–2.36 mm

Data: Program and production data

Excel import, data export.

  • Feature: Windows UI with Excel program import and CCD teaching; RS-232C communication and production log export for MES connection.
  • Advantage: Programs are quick to build and production can be recorded.
  • Benefit: Ready for customer audits and smart-factory projects.

Key points: Excel import · CCD teach · RS-232C / CSV

Frequently asked questions

Which terminals can it handle?

Reeled terminals such as AC tabs, quick-connect and blade terminals, plus switches. Bulk terminals can be fed as an option. Send drawings and samples for confirmation.

How do we know no terminal is missing?

A miss-insertion sensor under the board checks each position after clinching and stops the machine with an alarm if one is missing.

Can it run inline?

Yes. It has a SMEMA interface and works with PCB loaders, S3010A radial and S4000 axial machines and wave soldering.

S7020T or S7020?

Choose the S7020T for reeled terminals and inline production; the S7020 is the general pin/eyelet/terminal machine for bulk or reel parts.

How fast do we get a quote?

Send your PCB size, BOM or component list, target output per shift and destination country. We reply within 2 hours in working time and quote the same day; a free live demo with your own components can be arranged before you order.

What about installation, training and spare parts?

Installation and operator training are included in the project plan (on site or remote). Spare parts ship from Shenzhen, and our engineers give a remote diagnosis and fix plan within 3 days.
